Can a loss of libido be a normal phenomenon? Absolutely! If you’re someone who’s under stress and you feel pressure, it is clear that you may not feel interested in sex. You may not have that desire. That is a normal phenomenon and many women are made to feel guilty that perhaps they don’t have the desire they used to. The bottom line is, if someone is fatigued, under stress, feeling unappreciated, they’re not going to have the libido or the drive they had before. Many of these things have to be worked out. There is more to sex than just a physical reaction. It’s psychological as well.

Why Do Women Have Reduced Sexual Desire?

Why Do Women Have Reduced Sexual Desire?

If a woman has decreased sexual desire, there could be a number of factors involved. First of all, when it comes to sexuality for women, there are many factors that are much more complicated than in the case of men. Does the woman feel like she’s in a long-lasting, stable relationship? Does she feel she’s getting the attention she deserves? Are there pressures that have nothing to do with sexuality that are bothering her? One of the problems with decreased desire is fatigue. If a woman feels fatigued and doesn’t feel the normal pleasure or happiness, she’s actually not going to be interested in sexuality. Again, it’s complex and often needs evaluation.

Protecting Your Kids on the Internet

Protecting Your Kids on the Internet

You need to be more careful than ever when it comes to protecting your kids on the internet. That’s the word from a new study in the journal Pediatrics. According to the “Growing Up with Media” survey, researchers have found that victimization online is more likely to occur through instant messaging and in chat rooms. 1,600 children were in the study. 15% reported unwanted sexual solicitation in that time, with about 1/4 of those occurring on a social networking site. One-third reported online harassment, that’s a quarter of the incidents occurring on a social networking site. The breakdown of the reported incidents: 43% via instant messaging, 32% in chat rooms. Harassment was more common in instant messaging, 55% of incidents. In case you were wondering, the experts suggest parents should monitor all the time.

A decreased sex drive is something that can occur at any age. Some people have trouble in dealing with it, but the bottom line is sexual feelings, just like any other part of our human body, can change over time. There are different periods where the sex drive may be up or it may be down and it has to do with all sorts of problems; things such as stress, pressure, diet, exercise, lack of exercise, or feelings about your partner. All of these things can have a direct effect.

Addressing Pain During Sex

Addressing Pain During Sex

This is an embarrassing one; not one that many people want to talk about, but pain during sexual activity can actually be a very problematic experience for both partners involved. When you are talking about this, the number one thing you can do to deal with it is not pain medicine, it’s not therapy, it’s not any specific treatment. It’s communication. The first step is you have to talk with your partner about the problem and let them know there are difficulties. Then it can be dealt with medically.

The Urgency Of Talking With Your Teen About Sex

The Urgency Of Talking With Your Teen About Sex

It’s a key issue…sex and teens. It’s a topic that urgently needs to be discussed. Obviously, parents don’t want to have to deal with this issue, but the bottom line is you must discuss it with your teen. You have to evaluate what’s going on and let them know about potential risks and problems. It’s very important that teenagers be treated as adults. You have a golden opportunity to explain to your teen the potential problems that can occur, and that early sex can lead to serious lifelong issues; not only sexually transmitted diseases, but the potential of responsibilities, like unwanted pregnancy, that will be difficult to deal with.
